Hailing from the black metal hotbed of Portugal, the elusive artisans of alchemy otherwise known as Wømb have set 6th June as the international release date for a brand-new 7" entitled Taciturn through Purodium Rekords.
Wømb hereby manifest seven short/sharp/shocked aural conjurations of darkened devotion to the unseen. Aptly titled, Taciturn sees this shadowy duo plunge yet further into their starkly stripped-down sound, both more minimalist and more spectral, but unremittingly raw and ugly as ever. Clanging and banging, wholly hypnotizing the listener with fetid waves of spiritual filth, they say everything they mean to - no more, but certainly no less. Thus, Taciturn is a pure vision of black metal magick, and yet another short-length obsidian jewel in Wømb's economically sparse but growing discography of defiance.
Taciturn shall be released on black vinyl limited to 120 copies, and the die-hard version shall be released with a patch in an edition of 30 copies. In the meantime, hear the new track "In The Abyss Of This Darkness In Which The Spirit Has Died To Itself" in the player below. Link
