Rhode Island (USA) based industrial/doom act Tovarish will return in early 2019 with a new album entitled If The War Comes Tomorrow. The album will be released through Argonauta Records and with it the band is delivering doom-industrial both more melodic and more unsettling than ever before.
From chaotic seas of harsh noise, field recordings, and found sound, dark melodies and mechanical rhythms take shape then fall apart again and again. Every song conveys a particular sense of place-as if the music is happening on site of the scenes painted by the lyrics and each is more disturbing than the next. These cinematic arrangements mirror and enhance the band’s bleak visions of modern life mired in bellicosity, inequity, and anhedonia.
