Swedish alternative/post-punk band Quantum Leap released today their debut album titled No Reason via the label Viskningar och vrål. Quantum Leap is based in Uppsala, it is a three piece band featuring Björn Norberg on guitar and vocals (on records different keyboards), Andreas Hennius (bass and live backing vocals) and Mats Gustavsson on drums.
Quantum Leap was formed in 2014. The three members came from different backgrounds. Björn picked up his first guitar 1977 and was a guitarist in the emerging thrash and death metal scene in the 80s and worked with electronica and fine arts from millennium and on. Andreas Hennius has been into pop since the 80s. Mats Gustavsson is schooled in 80s metal and played in a black metal band once.
For some reason they joined forces. In 2016 they happened to meet Tomas Skogsberg of legendary Sunlight Studios (Entomed, Refused, Backyard Babies, Dismember,...) and it resulted in a quick demo and a contract with Swedish label Viskningar och Vrål (Whisperings and Growls).
