Denver (USA) doom metal quartet Khemmis have released today their anxiously-anticipated third album, Desolation. The album is released by Nuclear Blast Records (Europe/worldwide)) and through 20 Buck Spin (North America). While Khemmis is undeniably influenced by doom and classic metal, to tag them with those labels doesn't do justice to what's accomplished on Desolation; a perfect representation of modern heavy metal in 2018 that integrates the past in a way only possible in the present. Desolation is not just the best Khemmis record to date but a testament to the quality that heavy metal is still capable of.
Having already dominated the US scene with their previous full length release Hunted being named also 'Album of the Year 2016' in some magazines, their new opus Desolation has now been voted 'Album of the Month' in German Metal Hammer and Powermetal.de. The album offers a haunting mix of doom and epic heavy metal.
In addition, the band has released a second trailer, in which singer/guitarist Phil Pendergast speaks about his non-metal influences. As well the entire album is available for streaming in the player below. Previously released video for the track "Isolation" can be checked out over HERE. Link
