French extreme doom metal titans Ataraxie are currently at the final mixing stages, of their highly anticipated new album, titled Résignés. The album will be produced by Sylvain Biguet (Impureza, Trepalium, Disowning,...) and is set for a winter 2018 release as a cooperation between Xenokorp (vinyl, cassette and digital), Deadlight Records (CD) and Weird Truth Records (CD). With a total running time varying from approximately 80 to 95 minutes of the most twisted, wicked and dark extreme doom ever, reaching new levels of demented obscurity that fans of their previous album L'être et la nausée (2013) and lovers of everything mixing influences from dark metal, old-school death metal, funeral doom, black/doom and whatnot darkly insane alike will definitely love it!
Ataraxie were formed nearly 20 years ago and consists of past and present members of bands like Bethlehem, Conviction, Sordide, Wormfood, Void Paradigm,..., until now they have released three full-length album, some split albums and appearead on various compilations.
