SHADOW UNIVERSE - Debut Full-Length Out Now, Title Track Available For Streaming

Slovenian atmospheric post-rockers Shadow Universe have released their debut full-length album, Speaking For Clouds, on 23rd September. The band offers an atmospheric, spacey brand of post-rock, with elements from ambient music, space rock and krautrock thrown into the mix.
Hiding in the shadows of Slovenia, Shadow Universe is a three-piece instrumental band having released their debut EP, The Unspeakable World, in 2017. Their new full-length Speaking For Clouds – entirely self-produced – was recorded in spring 2018 in Slovenia, but the field recordings you can hear on the album were captured during the band's trip to Iceland.
Speaking For Clouds picks up where their debut EP had left it, and goes a step further. While the sound of Shadow Universe has always been atmospheric, on this new album, you can hear stronger influences from ambient and space rock, and a heavier reliance on synths and piano. Mood variations are constant throughout the recording: The contrast between loud and bright sparkles of textures and an atmospheric darkness portrays the diversity of nature and life on earth and beyond. Combining ravaging guitars, dynamic drum-work, misty synths and field recordings, Speaking For Clouds is Shadow Universe's call to a greater understanding of the universe which we are a part of.
