Los Angeles (California) based dark folk artist Crosby Morgan is now streaming the entirety of her new EP Rain Games For The Natual Born Pariah. The EP will be released tomorrow (2nd November), but you can already hear it in its entirety in the player below.
The album tracks Morgan's earnest and true pursuit of reaching an understanding of her own existence with haunting vocal melodies, morose guitar lines, and carefully textured producing. Rain Games is a portal into the mind of the pariah-a mind filled with uncertainty and hope-exposed and redeemed through the grace found in sadness.
Crosby Morgan is a multi-genre artist with a background in folk music and electronic music production. She is inspired to create work based on grief and its absolution as time passes. Lyrically, her writing usually offers a cathartic revisitation of her past relationships, her emotional struggles with living, and the everchanging personal philosophy about growth as she ages. She carries the weight of both light and dark on her back-constantly challenging herself to fuse them through the love she allows to cascade into her work. Link
