NYCTOPHILIA - Announces Release Date Of New Album, First Track Available For Streaming

Polish atmospheric black metal project Nyctophilia will release highly anticipated fourth album, Ad Mortem Et Tenebrae, on 21st December via Wolfspell Records. Now the first track out of the album is unveiled and you can hear in the player below "Untill Death...".
Formed in December 2014, Nyctophilia is the work of one Grief, who's handled all instruments and songwriting since the very beginning. In those past four years, the man's restlessly created a vast body of work, all under the banner of the purest black metal. His themes largely focus on nature, darkness, and Satanism's bond to the spiritual world; naturally, Nyctophilia's black metal breathes sorrow, hatred, and death.
Now, Nyctophilia unveils Ad Mortem Et Tenebrae, the band's fourth album overall and exactly one year after predecessor Darkness Calls Upon Me. Unlike so much (or most?) one-man black metal, Grief strikes hard with a definitively human touch; no withered, effete drum-programming nor overly processed direct-line guitars are to be found within Ad Mortem Et Tenebrae. Instead, across the 42 minutes comprising the album, Nyctophilia runs riot across myriad classicist-minded black metal tropes - hypnotic Burzumic trance, rotten Darkthroned rocking, grim Immortalized fury, atmospheric tundra drift - and often within the same song, each of these five epics exuding the passion and emotion that can only come from truly organic creation. As such, Ad Mortem Et Tenebrae is a pure-as-snow blast from old times, taking the listener on a journey through the unknown realms of the mind and soul. Link
