APNEICA - Exclusive Premiere Of The First Track From Upcoming Album

Apneica, deeply inspired by the sea and land that surrounds them on the beautiful Italian island Sardinia, are about to release a new album entitled Vulnerabile Risalita at the end of April. Terra Relicta has the privilege to premiere the first track out of the album, the album opener named "Sul fondo (Angoli remoti)".

The band which blends atmospheric doom metal, post-metal and death metal was formed by Alessandro Seghene in 2007 as a one-man project, then in 2011 the self-titled fully instrumental album was released, but with the next EP, Pulsazioni...Conversione, which came out in August 2014 for the first time presented Apneica as a full band and their change of style from kind of experimental post-rock-metal into much heavier melodic doom/death metal was more than evident. Now, three years after the EP, Apneica will release their second full-lenght album through the collaboration of Mizar Elektric Waves and Metaversus PR.

Vulnerabile Risalita was recorded between March and June 2016 by Maurizio Pinna at SoundRoom Studio Recording and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (drummer of the Swedish band Cult Of Luna), to enhance both dramatic and heavy sound, keeping the melancholic mood. Artwork for the album was done by Nicola Olla at Blackthoot Collective. Vulnerabile Risalita (in English "Vulnerable Resurgence”), is an album which focuses on an element of vital importance to both humanity and to our planet: Water.

Alessandro Seghene explains: "Contact with water involves a renewal, a rebirth that passes for a dissolution, and just as in a primitive ritual, which has lasted until the present day, the immersion of his body in the element will allow a new life. This character is to embark on a solitary and extraordinary journey divided into three stages: death, life and rebirth. "Sul fondo (Angoli remoti)" is the first single off our new album Vulnerabilire Risalita, is the opening track and the first stage of the album: Death.
It’s described in a somewhat fuzzy way, like a clouded memory, through the image of one or maybe more underwater cities. The architectural debris reveal one city to be more ancient than the others. These cities represent corners of land where the souls of those most affected by the tragic events find no shelter from the impetuosity of the element; for them reigns a dense blanket of fog which appears to offer no alternative." Listen to "Sul fondo (Angoli remoti)" in the player below.

Apneica are: Ignazio Simula (vocals), Alessandro Seghene (guitar), Alice Doro (guitar), Francesco Pintore (bass) and Luigi Cabras (drums).
