DEAD REGISTER - Exclusive Premiere Of The Song "Ender"

Melodic gloomy blackened cvlt gaze? Yes, you heard it right, this is how the music done by Atlanta, GA (USA) based band Dead Register can be described. Terra Relicta is now offering you an exclusive streaming premiere of their song "Ender", taken from the upcoming EP entitled Captive which will hit the stores on 2nd November via AVR Records.

Dead Register can be described as The Cure covering Neurosis. Or Peter Murphy covering Swans. Or Bauhaus covering Type O Negative. Or Dead Can Dance covering Isis. Many sentence fragments. Or none of the above. Melodic gloomy blackened cvlt gaze. Complements 80s new wave to 2000s black metal.

The unique instrumentation of this husband and wife dual-bass team, M. Chvasta - bass VI/bass IV and Avril Che - bass synth + distorted lead synth, creates lush, bass-heavy torrents of blissful decay atop Danny Ryann's lumbering beats. Mr. Chvasta's voice has been likened to that of Brendan Perry, Ian McCulloch, Bono, Peter Steele and Peter Murphy. Their crushing yet accessible sound has paired well as live support for Author & Punisher, Wovenhand, Agalloch, Pinkish Black, Vowws, Tombs, Alcest, Pleasures, Wolvhammer, King Dude, Set And Setting, Hexxus, The Body, SubRosa and many more.

The band comments about the song "Ender": "Ender" is an exploration of love and loss, pertaining to the innumerable deaths of loved ones from our immediate friend group in the recent years. It is an homage to the notion that we are perhaps not quite involved enough with the folks that we hold dear in our lives... A reminder to give everyone you care for an extra hug, an extra DM, an extra stupid fucking selfie, or perhaps even a human-to-human telephone call to remind them that they're in your thoughts while they're still here. The song is a reminder to savor even the most mundane idiosyncrasies that "make" our loved ones who they are, even if they are ridiculous and annoying. Savor the times with your loved ones. Relish."

Even though that Dead Register are making pretty unique music it's still a must listen for all fans of the cult bands, new and old, currently icy hot in 2018: Chelsea Wolfe, Joy Division, Soft Kill, Soft Moon, True Widow, Cold Cave, Deafheaven, Ritual Howls, Drab Majesty, Pallbearer, Youth Code, Windhand, Inter Arma, Russian Circles, Sumac, Katatonia, Depeche Mode... Listen to "Ender" in the player below and discover for yourself!
