Step into forgotten ages with Ager Sonus' newest album Book Of The Black Earth and his debut album on Cryo Chamber with an attention to detail which will take you far back to ancient egyptian times full of myths and legends.

As you wander through the cold desert at night when the heat is now leaving the sand beneath you, there is a voice in the distance calling you toward it. Gazing up into the sky you feel a sense of loneliness and fear, you continue marching forth trying to gather as to where this voice is coming from. Ancient civilizations crumble beneath your feet, distant rumbles of the gods in the sky beckoning the darkest night of the soul. "Best keep going" you say to yourself shakily, as you enter into a curious underground cavern, there is a sense of ill fate in this cavernous place you have gathered yourself in.

The rustling of leaves bring your attention to the ground where an insignia is beginning to become more and more apparent the longer you look as you trip over something dusty and stiff.

Knelt down onto the ground you dislodge the strange looking thing out of the overgrown roots around it. This is a book of some sorts which lands into your gritty palms, feeling as though you shouldn't be meddling with this seemingly ancient artifact. Above you, the old cavern begins to crumble slightly, as you stuff the book into your jacket and go forth into the now claustrophobic cavern.

A flute reverberates in the distance as the voice begins to stop, could this voice be a human being playing this flute? It certainly doesn't sound human. Further into the now increasingly cold cavern you come to an opening of golden light. As you are startled and terrified, Osiris appears in front of you as an ill omen or maybe a sign that you should turn back, his very presence changes the very core of your being. Apophis comes out of the ground, you realize you have come across the underworld and may not be spared from what you once thought were myths. A voice tells you to "turn back at once" but with the book in hand you feel you have the knowledge of your ancestors and need not ask questions, you proceed to run home to spill yourself over this ominous scripture.

Gritty, eerie drones signify the dark and cold feeling of this place, the unexplored terrain beneath the vast egyptian desert, ancient gods and the stories about them. Field recordings give you a clear path as to how it might sound, how it might feel standing on ancient soil, and how it might shake your very foundations of the line between what you deem reality and myth.
