Austrian black metallers Irdorath have just released their fourth album titled Denial Of Creation via Wormholedeath Records. The band began its career in 2005 with many thrash and black metal infused. In 2006, they released a demo, Erwachen and the first album Götterdämmerung (Zorn der Elemente) in 2007 by Black Lava Records. In 2010, the line-up stabilizes after some substitutions and rearrangements of the members in different lines of action. From there on Irdorath features Markus Leitner (guitar and vocals), Thomas Leitner (drums), Mario Jackisch (bass) and Craig Hauser (guitar).

In 2012 the band released Dekonstrukteur des Fleisches, an album which was very well received by critics, as well by the fans of the genre. In 2013 it was the turn of I Am Risen, another strong release, a dark endeavor, full of diversity and a furiously death metal influenced vocal.

A darker album came along this June. In this release, Irdorath present us a solid black metal album with raw and filthy vocals, strong drum rhythmic blastbeats and melodic thrash metal guitar riffs that makes the album something very pleasurable and contagious. I'm going to risk it and say that Denial Of Creation is the band's best album since its formation. In this insidious work, the band solidifies in black metal and what reigned absolute in their first albums, now enters from time to time like well thought out additional elements.

"Devoured By Greed", the first track on the album conquers me at first. A strong guitar riff as a base, melodic guitars and the attractive vocals of Markus Leitner makes this music sarcastically demonic. Then "Trail Of Redemption" has an energetic drumming and different variations in tempos. "The Curse That Haunts The Earth" opens up with an acoustic piece and developes in a mid-tempo song with loads of speed and nice melodic guitars. My favorite tracks are "Covenant Of The Unbounded" and "Blessings From Above", they are just perfect in all senses for me. Markus as a singer and guitarrist acts as a divinity. The last track, the bonus "Die Rache des Baumes", it's a re-release from the 2006 demo, besides fitting perfectly like a piece of the puzzle, is much better now, repaginated.

Denial Of Creation is an overwhelming album with really intense tracks, it's all about the good devilish brutality. With all certainty, Denial Of Creation is an album that is not only worth checking out, but also getting it physically in your black metal collection. After all, a quality band that year after year strives to bring ever better songs should be encouraged with our support, to continue shooting the old and good black to our souls plagued by rampant iniquity.
