Finnish songwriter, artist and producer Amanda Aalto (These Shadows Of Mine), who has been releasing music under her name since 2013, has offered a new album, The Dark, The Strange, The Phenomenal.
Amanda Aalto on the new album: "I started writing the new album The Dark, The Strange, The Phenomenal in 2022 and worked with the material mostly by myself with some guest musicians from Finland and Italy. I was going for a darkly elegant sound combining elements of neoclassical, gothic metal and electronic music, trying to create a sound that would carry the listener through the whole album. The songs' lyrics vary from stories of losing faith in the modern world to dark romance and vampyrism. I have composed and arranged all keyboards and the classical instruments in the songs and some guitars and, of course, all the vocals, except for 'The Dark My Beloved', which is also featured by a Finnish gothic rock band Atomic Agent. I have recorded all the songs in my home studio in Lappeenranta, Finland". Link
