Pagan metal artist Vermilia has shared a new single and video, "Nocturne". The song is a cover version of the old Finnish classic song "Nocturne", which Vesa-Matti Loiri made known in 1978 but written as a poem by Eino Leino, one of the great figures of modern Finnish poetry. Music is composed by Perttu Hietanen and Taisto Wesslin. The song links the long days of the short Finnish summer and perfectly draws the landscape of Finnish nature.
Vermilia comments: "We have so much beautiful music and poems here in Finland. Nocturne is one of the most beautiful songs of all time. I wanted to remind of the existence of this beautiful song by making my own version of it".
Vermilia has also announced an autumn tour in Spain of six shows all over Spain and a special show in Helsinki, Finland, as a headliner, following Marrasmieli and Kouta's performances.
Vermilia comments on upcoming shows: "This year's performances bring the Ruska (meaning autumn foliage in Finnish) album touring cycle to the end. I am currently working on new material to come out early in 2025. The taste of the future will be heard this year, both in streaming services and in autumn gigs". Link
