Russian atmospheric/post-black metal project APRS is set to unveil its latest full-length offering, Radio Nocturna Vol.2: Voces del pasado, on 28 November via Flowing Downward. Following the evocative 2022 EP that introduced the first volume of this conceptual series, Vol. 2 deepens the narrative—inviting listeners to tune into frequencies of harmony, deliverance, and emotional reckoning.
Masterminded by Pavel Dark, APRS continues to explore the transformative power of sound where raw intensity meets melodic uplift. “All those negative feelings are echoes of the past that prevent us from living a full life,” Pavel reflects. “We are so tormented by our past and future that we can only glide fleetingly into the present.”
The album’s sonic architecture is built upon a dense, atmospheric substrate that weaves throughout its entirety. Fast-paced passages rich in pathos collide with introspective, breathing sections, while elevating guitar melodies entwine with crystalline keyboard lines—creating a force both enchanting and enduring. Each track resonates like a radio frequency, inviting the listener to surrender and flow with its emotional current.
Radio Nocturna Vol.2: Voces del pasado stands as a testament to the redemptive potential of music, offering an emotional answer to fear, pain, disappointment, and regret. It’s a record for those who seek catharsis through contrast—forging beauty from bleakness, and serenity from storm.
