German dark electro/ambient act Art Noir, a project of Jan Weber, has re-released the first-ever single, "Hinter der Nacht". The single was originally featured on the Saille Compilation in 1996. This track, created with Cubase on an Atari and the iconic Wavestation synthesizer, captures the spirit of neoclassical darkwave and heavenly voices of the nineties.
Though Jan describes the song as "kind of embarrassing today, nevertheless charming", it represents an important chapter in his journey. "Hinter der Nacht" is a raw expression of early creativity, and also features Jan's voice - an element that holds deep personal significance, as he lost the ability to speak due to ALS eight years ago. This re-release is both a tribute to that voice and a celebration of the enduring power of music.
Fans of both vintage electronic sounds and contemporary listeners are invited to experience this piece of history, as Art Noir continues to inspire through his unique story of resilience and artistic evolution. The single was released via Aenaos Records. Link
