The USA-based symphonic black metal band Belnejoum, founded by Mohamed Baligh "Aswad", has set 4 April as the release date for its debut full-length, Dark Tales Of Zarathustra, which will come out via Antiq. The band has also presented the first single, "Prophet Of Desolation".

Belnejoum utilizes symphonic elements combined with oriental instruments and traditional classical instruments like violin and cello, but in a stronger flavour and a darker edition, combined with the output of world-class musicians from Nile, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Annihilator, a multi-instrumental producer, and a Melisma singer. The band's production and sounds were mixed and mastered by world-class producer Fredrik Nordstrom.

Totalling 52 minutes across 10 tracks, Dark Tales Of Zarathustra tells the story of Zarathustra's corruption and insanity. The story follows his attack on the capital city and its destruction, his submission to Ahriman, and a side story of a child and his mother who were slaughtered during Zarathustra's attack and later reunited in death. The prophet then journeys to the underworld on the back of a demon named Aeshma. There, he witnesses the horrors of Hell, consisting of dark aquariums where humans are trapped. In another side story, a child is trapped in one of these aquariums. The prophet returns to Earth and wipes out the remaining humans. He watches Earth burn and decides to kill himself, as he no longer sees a purpose for living. Link
