The USA-based rising industrial/modern metal outfit Black Satellite ignites the screen with a dynamic new video for their single "Doom or Die", featured on their newly released album Aftermath.
Commenting on the inspiration behind the track, frontwoman Larissa Vale shared, "'Doom Or Die' was a particularly fun song to write. I wanted to go in a completely different direction and write a party song for the end of the world! In a way, it's like assuming an alter ego and getting to explore a concept from an entirely new angle that functions outside of mundane reality".
Vale went on to describe the experience filming the video: "We shot the video in Las Vegas which was our first time doing a video on the West coast. Conveniently enough we didn't have to pretend to appear stranded in the middle of the desert. We really did feel like we were fighting for our lives in the middle of summer in Vegas, which in hindsight, probably wasn't the smartest thing to do!"
Aftermath was self-produced along with Kane Churko (Papa Roach, In This Moment), and with mixes by veteran producer Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Filter).
"The album explores a lot of darker themes", says Vale about the new music. "Each song is a snapshot into various personal experiences in my life and my mindset at the time. There's definitely a good mix of sonic components on the record, ranging from heavier songs to more melodic ones as well." Link
