Avant-garde green metal project Botanist has sprouted another single, "Magnolia" - the name refers to the ancient plant sub-genus of Magnolioideae, which are spreading evergreens, deciduous trees or shrubs that are all characterised by large fragrant flowers - from its impending album, Paleobotany, set for release on 17 May via Prophecy Productions.
Botanist's mastermind Otrebor comments: "Magnolias abound in our present day, but they have been around for at least 65 million years, which means before bees came into existence! So for procreation, beetles used to do this song's subject's bidding instead".
The previously sprouted "Aristolochia" still blossoms HERE, where you can also find more info about Paleobotany. Link
