Munich's underground scene is about to welcome Dark Solstice, a new band embracing the brooding essence of dark metal, inspired by legends like Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth, and Dark Funeral.
Founded by Michael "Ristridi" Woess, former Agathodaimon guitarist, Dark Solstice explores themes of societal decline, personal struggles with depression, and the slow demise of our world, channelling them into an intense and deeply atmospheric sound.
"The energy in this band is incredible", says Woess. "The chemistry between us as musicians is something truly special, and it comes through in the music we create. The new material of Dark Solstice means a lot to me, and I can't wait to share it with the world."
Dark Solstice's debut EP is set for release in 2025, with live performances in the works that promise to be just as raw and immersive as its music.
Stay tuned for updates on Dark Solstice's upcoming releases and shows. Get ready for a fresh take on dark metal that honours its roots and pushes the genre forward. Link
