Italian gothic rock/post-punk band Date At Midnight released "Another Grace", the first single taken from their new album entitled Fading Into This Grace, due for release via French label Manic Depression Records on 3 May. "Another Grace" is an edgy, dark and theatrical track.
The video for the track was made by the Albedo Video collective and is inspired by the surrealist works of Maya Deren, Renè Magritte and David Lynch, and by the anxieties of Dario Argento's movies, enriched with visionary references to Tim Burton's cinema, where innocence and hope are catapulted into a surreal and enigmatic journey through mystery and obsessions, leaving us with an unanswered question: Is another form of grace possible to indulge in these dark times?
Date At Midnight, currently composed of Daniele De Angelis (vocals), Pasquale Vico (bass and synth), Francesco Mignogna (drums) and Manuel Mazzenga (guitar and synth), was founded in Rome back in 2007. They note as their primary references bands such as Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Sisters Of Mercy, The Cure, Christian Death and Fields Of The Nephilim.
After the publication of a self-titled EP in 2008 for In the Night Time Records, the band signed for the French label Manic Depression Records, releasing three albums and one EP: No Love (2011), Songs To Fall And Forget (2016), Reverse Resilience EP (2018) and the upcoming Fading Into This Grace (2024).
