Germany's darkwave/ambient rock act Deep Imagination has offered a new video single, "Forever And A Day". Inspired by 80s acts such as Fields Of The Nephilim, The Cure or The Chameleons, the music unfolds a maelstrom effect and invites you into a new sound world of ambient and dark wave. In the interplay with Achim von Raesfeld (electric guitar) and singer Ann Kareen Mainz, "Forever And A Day" builds up tension, intensifies atmospherically and leads to a rocking, wave guitar-driven resolution.
"Free your own demons with the help of love and free yourself." This is the message that mastermind and singer Thorsten Sudler-Mainz delivers with this new production from the Imagination Studio. "The title and the accompanying video are about your own demons, which pretty much everyone has to deal with, and finding a way to cope with them. The title builds up tension, which is then released like a liberation. In the end, it's all about ending your battles with your demons once and for all with the help of love in order to be happy - 'Forever And A Day'", Thorsten Sudler-Mainz then explains.
Deep Imagination is currently working on a new album set for release in March 2026. Like its predecessor, The Children Of The Moon (2023), the seventh album will contain seven tracks. Stylistically, the album will be influenced by "neoclassical darkwave" à la Dead Can Dance, and for the first time, a Deep Imagination work will include a cover version.
Thorsten Sudler-Mainz on the upcoming album: "Creating new works is the most beautiful thing for me, but it takes a lot of time before I'm satisfied with the results. Parallel to the production of the two singles "Realm Of The Raven" (2024) and "Forever And A Day" (2025), I worked on a new concept after the 2023 album, The Children Of The Moon, and researched and refined new ideas and sounds. Finally, a few weeks ago, I could see a new Deep Imagination album on the horizon, and I'm very happy with it. I don't want to say too much yet, but it will be an album that is heavily influenced by "neoclassical darkwave" and contains musical elements that have never been heard on a Deep Imagination album before. I am currently working on the new longplayer, which is expected to be released in March 2026 via my label BSC Music/Prudence. Thank you for your support and love, and I wish all my fans and friends a wonderful summer. Love & Peace & Music!" Link
