The dynamic industrial/darkwave or by some labelled as "turbowave" duo Dual Analog from Seattle (USA), known for its evocative soundscapes and poignant lyrics, has released the new and reflective full-length, The Wheel. The Wheel is the second studio album in Dual Analog's repertoire. The concept centres around the Buddhist symbol of the "dharma chakra", or "Wheel of Law" where the narrator is trapped in an infinite cycle of death and rebirth into the same life, where they repeat the same mistakes, only to be born again to continue the cycle.
Front-man, Chip Roberts comments: "After we released our first album, we had very little reception from friends, fans, or anyone. We looked back and felt like we were putting everything into the music, and then it would be sent out into an empty void and the cycle seemed to repeat itself. This album is a reflection on those experiences and the feelings that come with that, and wondering what to do to break that cycle."
The Wheel marks a darker direction in Dual Analog's sound, incorporating extended-range guitars, cold basslines, and nihilistic lyrical themes into a brooding sonic soundscape. The entire album is now available for streaming. If you missed the previously released music video for the "Caverns Of The Mind" track, you can check it out over HERE. Link
