Exiled Hope, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Sofia Frasz, has unleashed her new album, Apocrypha. Along with the album release, Exiled Hope has also released a lyric video for her epic track "The Day Will Come".
Sofia comments:"'The Day Will Come' was inspired by Kamelot's gentler moments (see 'Sacrimony' and 'My Confession') and a melody that I woke up with one day and couldn't get out of my head. The song lulls the listener back into the gentler aspects of my style, but keeps an undercurrent of suspense lurking throughout. The protagonist expresses his reservations about advancing through the ranks of the cult that rules the city to a superior member of the cult, who assures him that they will welcome him with open arms... with a catch."
Each of Exiled Hope's albums centers on a character dealing with both an internal and external conflict in this world, and the lyrics explore how they navigate those conflicts. This is intended to provide some kind of escapism through the lyrical world-building while still keeping the songs grounded in real, relatable emotions despite their fantastical setup, and Apocrypha follows this path.
