Japan's black metal entity Enterré Vivant has set 26 May as the release date of its third album, Akuzaï (coming via Antiq), and presented the first single/video, "Chûtô".
Enterré Vivant was born in 2019 around Erroiak (Hrad, Stellar Forest, Outland Hill) and Sakrifiss (Peurbleue). They released their first album in 2021 with compositions that pay homage to their influences: Summoning, Angantyr, Woods Of Infinity, Moonsorrow, and Mystic Forest. Two years later, the band joined the Antiq label and released 四元素 (Shigenso), an album on which they asserted their identity, highlighting their ties to Japan, where Sakrifiss has lived for over 25 years.
Akuzaï contains 10 compositions centred around 10 Buddhist sins, all linked to a common theme - the Second World War as experienced by Japanese civilians and victims - making for 50 minutes that are by turns atmospheric, epic, and moving. Link
