Finnish industrial metal force Fear Of Domination have unleashed their long‑awaited seventh full‑length album, Katharsis. Marking a significant milestone in the band’s evolution, the release arrives together with a brand‑new music video for the opening track “Alone”, directed and filmed by Elsa Wellamo. To honour the occasion, the band launched their album release tour today in Espoo, Finland.
Described as their most personal and hard‑won record to date, Katharsis captures a period of transformation, perseverance, and creative rebirth. Vocalist Saku Solin reflects on the journey behind the album, noting that its creation demanded both emotional resilience and artistic conviction. He highlights the blend of long‑gestating material from guitarist Lasse and the band’s first full‑length collaboration with Anton and Jessica, calling the process a defining moment for Fear Of Domination’s current incarnation.
Solin emphasises the deeply personal nature of the record, sharing that returning to songwriting with close friends after a long break brought renewed meaning to the project. He also points to the track “Feel” as one of the most important songs of his career.
Formed in 2006, Fear Of Domination have carved out a reputation as one of Finland’s most dynamic industrial metal acts. Their explosive live presence has taken them across Europe alongside bands such as Deathstars, Turmion Kätilöt, Velcra, Shade Empire, Hanzel And Gretyl, Amaranthe, PAIN, and many others.
