While preparing for its first live dates on European soil, Final Coil has released a fascinating film documenting the creation of its amazing recent video, "Stay With Me". Making Of Stay With Me takes fans behind the scenes and gives a great insight into the work that goes into creating a top-class promotional video. Final Coil's frontman Phil Stiles shares his thoughts on this very different video release for the band and an incredible 2024...
"As we countdown to our first-ever live dates in France and Belgium, it's amazing to look back across a year that saw us release our third album, play our Bloodstock debut and appear in Prog Magazine. With 'Stay With Me', we also undertook our most complex video shoot to date and, luckily, our friends from Velocity Media Group were there to help document it. Taking inspiration from Nine Inch Nails and Massive Attack, and with a plot that acted as a direct sequel to 'Chemtrails', we spent an amazing day building three distinct sets at a studio in Leicester. With Jay Hillyer once again behind the camera, we had a great deal of help for this one and we'd particularly like to thank Elin, Ali, and Lou, who gave up their time and their skill to help pull this all together. Quite simply, we couldn't have done this without them. We've always enjoyed making videos to our music - it's a hugely enjoyable extension of the creative process, and I'm so grateful that we are able to share a glimpse of what went into the making of 'Stay With Me'."
