Vancouver (Canada)-based electro-industrial scene legends Front Line Assembly have been fearlessly pushing the boundaries of their genre for almost four decades since being founded by Bill Leeb in 1986. Exploring beat-driven electronic body music with forays into corrosive industrial metal, the core Front Line Assembly duo of Leeb and long-term cohort Rhys Fulber helped formulate a hybrid music style that was later carried into the mainstream.
Front Line Assembly released their current studio album, Mechanical Soul, in 2021 via Metropolis Records. It earned plaudits worldwide as one of the strongest records in their extensive catalogue and was seen as a return to the classic records they issued at the dawn of the 1990s, such as Caustic Grip and Tactical Neural Implant. The album was promoted in the US via two extensive tours with Gary Numan and Ministry, plus selected dates in mainland Europe.
A set of seven UK dates have just been announced that mark Front Line Assembly's first visit to these shores since 2018. They follow the recent release of Leeb's first-ever solo album, Model Kollapse, which earned excellent notices when issued on Metropolis Records in September 2024. Front Line Assembly will follow their UK tour with a headline appearance at the 2025 edition of the Dark Malta festival on 26 April. Link
