Emerging from the depths of Southern California's underground, darkwave/synthwave/electronic/metal outfit I Will Destroy You have confirmed 29 May as the release date of their debut EP, Dead Before Dawn — a six‑track descent into shadowy, synth‑driven soundscapes and crushing metallic force, set to arrive via Futureless on vinyl and digitally.
Formed by San Diego music veterans with roots in punk, metal, and electronic scenes — and featuring members of Amenity, B‑Side Players, Hauntu, Ilya, Audio Addiction, and Crushed On You — the band channel influences ranging from horror‑film scores to 1980s dance music, forging a sound that is both cinematic and confrontational. The result is a genre‑blurring collision of darkwave, synthwave, and industrial‑leaning heaviness that feels as immersive as it is unrelenting.
Dead Before Dawn unfolds like a soundtrack to an unseen nightmare — pulsing with tension, atmosphere, and raw energy. Across its six tracks, the EP shifts between eerie restraint and explosive intensity, constructing a world that is as hypnotic as it is oppressive.
Recorded and mixed by Ben Moore at Singing Serpent Studios and K Street Studios (San Diego, CA), and mastered by Nathan Joyner, the EP captures a raw, immediate energy while maintaining a dense, immersive sonic depth. Artwork and layout by Aaron D.C. Edge visually extend the project's dark, cinematic aesthetic. Link
