Los Angeles (USA)-based industrial noise-punks In Covert pay homage to The Crow with their latest video for their recent single "Death Embers". In Covert continues to push the boundaries of their genre with a sound that blends elements of gothic punk, noise, doom metal, and industrial. "Death Embers" delves deeper into themes of darkness, despair, and the haunting spectres of the past. In Covert's vocalist, Kris Balocca, delivers a powerful performance that captures the emotional intensity of his incredibly personal lyrics.
Formed in 2019 by multi-instrumentalist Wes Lopez (La Ghost, Channel), In Covert began as a fluid project, playing live shows and releasing singles with a rotating lineup of musicians, occasionally relying on a drum machine. The band found stability in late 2022 with the addition of Oscar Ruvalcaba (The Warlocks, All Your Sisters, La Ghost, Flaamingos) on drums, and the line-up was solidified in January 2023 when Kris Balocca (Phaeic, Urns & Argyles) joined on bass and vocals. With this powerful trio in place, In Covert entered Moon Palace Productions to record their most fully realized tracks to date, under the guidance of engineer and mixer Chris King.
