Swedish melodic black metal band Jordfäst has released a new single and video titled "Ett Altare Av Skärvor Pt. 3." This song is part of their upcoming album, Blodsdåd Och Hor, which is set to be released on 25 July via Black Lion Records. The music, inspired by the echoes of the past, is crafted with a mixture of steel and blood in a furnace shaped by Scandinavian rock. The lyrical themes and musical compositions come together to create a powerful and enduring combination.
Blodsdåd Och Hor (translating to *Bloodshed and Whoredom*) is the third installment in the Jordfäst saga and is their darkest chapter to date. Under the relentless strikes of hammers, the signature Jordfäst sound has been strengthened, with melodies intricately refined by melancholic undertones for profound impact.
Jordfäst shares insights about the new single: "'Ett altare av skärvor' (An altar of shards) combines fragments from Völuspá with imagery of violent manipulation and mental torture to explore the everlasting desire in humans to make sense of their existence." Link
