German industrial/EBM/alternative rock legends KMFDM have released their new single "Oubliette", the first taste of their upcoming 24th album Enemy, set for release on 6 February 2026 via Metropolis Records. The title comes from the French oublier—"to forget"—and refers to a dungeon accessible only through a trapdoor in its ceiling, a place designed to erase existence. The band capture its essence with chilling simplicity: "A place to be forgotten. What nobody sees, nobody knows."
With society in shambles and fascism back in fashion, KMFDM once again rise to the challenge. For 42 years, the Ultra Heavy Beat has stood as a weapon of resistance, a declaration of continuity through diversity, and Enemy is their latest manifesto. The band’s most recent full‑length, Let Go (2024), marked their 40th anniversary, followed by a remixed and remastered 20th anniversary edition of Hau Ruck in May 2025.
Far from slowing down, KMFDM remain relentless—dancing on the blood‑dimmed tide, roaring against a world that demands silence, and urging listeners to join them in becoming the Enemy of hypocrisy, discrimination, and injustice.
