Ukraine's atmospheric/cosmic black metal band, Labyrinthus Stellarum, released a new single, "Lost In The Void". It is an atmospheric, saturated with space synths song dedicated to the end of the journey of a group of inhabitants from the planet Nirlakh, who, after the opening of a rift in reality, find themselves in the Void - the original world, the gods of which the Nirlakhians worshipped. However, having gotten into the Void, they understand that they will not find what they were looking for, but on the contrary, the Void will become the grave of their kind.
"Lost In The Void" is the second single from the next album Rift In Reality, which will be released in early 2025. The new album will be even more experimental and diverse than the previous one, and will include both epic melodic tracks and heavy and aggressive ones. The album will also feature a bit more clean vocals than previous releases. The album cover was designed by Mark Cooper, who is known for his work with bands such as Rings Of Saturn and Brand Of Sacrifice.
Labyrinthus Stellarum is a cosmic black metal band from Odesa, founded in 2021 by vocalist and songwriter Oleksandr Andronati and guitarist Oleksandr Kostetskyi. Later, a second guitarist, Oleksandr Andronati's brother, Misha, joined them. In 2023, they released their debut album Tales Of The Void, which gained recognition for its blend of atmospheric black metal with elements of electronic music and cosmic-themed lyrics. Shortly after the album's release, Oleksandr Kostetskyi left the band, and since then, Labyrinthus Stellarum has continued as a duo of the two brothers.
Their second album, Vortex Of The Worlds, was released in April 2024, solidifying Labyrinthus Stellarum's place in the cosmic black metal scene alongside bands like Darkspace, Mesarthim, and Vorga. Despite their short existence, the band has performed with iconic Ukrainian black metal acts such as White Ward, and Colotyphus. Link
