US dream‑pop duo Magic Wands return with Wishing Well, a shimmering new EP released through Metropolis Records, accompanied by the brand‑new single “Starline”. The collection gathers the band’s recent creative arc into one cohesive, luminous statement — blending past highlights with fresh material that leans deeper into their signature haze of dream‑pop, post‑punk pulse and celestial atmosphere.

Wishing Well brings together the previously issued singles “Sacred Mirrors” — created in collaboration with John Ashton of The Psychedelic Furs — and the title track “Wishing Well”, both of which were featured on Terra Relicta in recent months. The EP also includes a remastered version of the 2024 single “Hide”, a new remix of “Golden” from their 2025 album Cascades, and two brand‑new songs: “Starline” and “Yesterday’s Dream”.

“Starline”, the EP’s newest focus track, captures a moment suspended between fear and surrender. “It’s a push‑and‑pull between longing, release and the moment of truth,” the duo explain. “As the lyric asks, ‘will you run’ or ‘can I stay?’” The song gradually intensifies, building toward a realisation that when everything else falls away, there is “nothing left but love.” Its slow‑burn ascent and emotional clarity make it one of Magic Wands’ most affecting works to date.

Both “Sacred Mirrors” and “Wishing Well” were accompanied by lyric videos earlier in 2026. You can check them out over HERE and HERE. “Sacred Mirrors” originated from an instrumental piece Ashton sent to the band — a gesture from a long‑time admirer. Magic Wands expanded it with additional guitar layers, keyboards, percussion, and their unmistakable vocal dream‑glow. “Wishing Well,” by contrast, leans into a more insistent rhythm, swirling guitars and a hazy vocal presence that evokes an immediate post‑punk‑meets‑shoegaze classic.

With Wishing Well, Magic Wands continue to refine their luminous, nocturnal world — one where dream‑pop shimmer meets shadowed introspection, and where every track feels like a doorway into another dimension. Link
