Bergen‑based dark rock outfit Malice In Wonderland have unveiled their new single, "Dying Breed", via Raven Black Recordings — the third and final instalment in the band's anniversary comeback.
The track acts as both a closing statement and a point of transition. Released as a co‑release with Chris Wicked, "Dying Breed" marks the last material to appear under the Malice In Wonderland name. All future output will continue solely under the Chris Wicked banner.
"It's about holding on to who you are, even when it feels like you're the last of your kind", says Chris Wicked.
Musically, the single reconnects with the band's earliest roots. Before their debut album, Malice In Wonderland issued three EPs steeped more firmly in gothic rock — an influence that resurfaces here. "Dying Breed" leans into darker tones and a brooding atmosphere, echoing those origins while signalling the project's next evolution.
Norway's premier goth 'n' roll act first made waves on the local scene in the late '90s and early 2000s, before breaking onto the international stage with their 2005 debut album. Fronted by the enigmatic Chris Wicked, the band quickly amassed a global following, with fan clubs emerging worldwide.
Two decades after their debut — and a decade after their farewell tour — Norway's ultimate goth 'n' roll cult returns to deliver the final single of their anniversary trilogy. Link
