Melodic doom metal entity Mammon's Throne have shared the third video single, "Everyday More Sickened", accompanied by an old‑school '90s‑style video in the vein of classic Morbid Angel and Hypocrisy. The track appears on the band's impending album My Body To The Worms, set for release on 13 March via Hammerheart Records.
Mammon's Throne comment on the track and video: "'Every Day More Sickened' was the last song written for the album, and in fact, it was only completed the day before we hit the studio! This sense of urgency made the result all the sweeter when we finally played it in full for the first time. It has become our personal favourite song on the record and stands as an encapsulation of all the influences throughout the album. Despite the somewhat rushed finish, the recording of the song went smoother than we could have anticipated. As if it was meant to be. For the music video, we decided to go with an old-school 90s aesthetic in the vein of classic Morbid Angel and Hypocrisy videos. Something you might have seen on MTV back when it still existed and actually played music. The beginning verses of the song came from an unfinished song in an old band, a few of the members were in that never came to fruition. We felt it was time to resurrect the idea for this album because the lyrical themes are as relevant as ever and suited the mood of the album as a whole. They deal with being disgusted with the world around you and sinking further and further into despair. We hope you enjoy".
Following relentless gigging and the success of their 2020 debut Forward Unto Flame, Mammon's Throne have established themselves as a formidable presence within the Australian live scene. They expanded their sound with an epic dose of extreme doom on their self‑titled 2023 release, fully embracing the death‑doom and black metal elements of their identity — a shift met with strong admiration from listeners and reviewers alike.
