Massive Ego, the electro-dark wave hybrid from the UK, has just released its new video single, "Man Become Monster", an uptempo 'banger' that is sure to set the dancefloors and scene charts alight! The track is the fourth revealed one from the band's forthcoming album.
The song addresses the ongoing destruction of the planet at the hands of men, increasing at an alarming rate. Men in power, our leaders, who govern our very existence, sending troops into war in the name of power, religion, land grabs, corruption, control and superiority. Making the decisions from their gold-plated ivory towers, surrounded by yes men with no accountability. Lives lost, mass destruction, instability and global warming as we hurtle towards a third World War and complete annihilation.
Can a song lead to change? No, but words we send out into the ether can, when it's a united voice, warn us all to wake up, stand and rise together, opposed to dictators who rig votes and take backhanders to further their criminal ambitions and repress us all. Pointing the finger of responsibility squarely at the feet of the men who rule the world.
Marc Massive comments: "It's important that we, as artists and musicians, use our platforms to speak out about societal issues, and none is more prevalent than the plight we face now as a species. If that steps into political territory, then we shouldn't be afraid to go there".
Massive Ego understands the challenges of surviving in an ever-changing musical landscape, as 2026 will see it reach its 30-year milestone. In 2025, Massive Ego is back for good and working its way towards a new full-length. The band will perform at Germany's biggest dark scene festival, M'era Luna (9-10 August), as well as Hellsinki Industrial Festival (6-8 November).
