Norwegian post-punk/dark romantic band Mayflower Madame just released "Crippled Crow", the fourth single from the upcoming album entitled Insight, which will be released on 1 November via labels Night Cult Records, Up In Her Room and Icy Cold Records.
Compared to the preceding tasters, which you should have heard by now, this latest offering further elaborates its signature blend of edgy post-punk and lush shoegaze, adding elements of noise-rock and darkwave. Fuelled by a commanding, forceful bass line and a vibrant drum beat, it takes you out on an intoxicating ride - from the haunting melodies of the verses through the fierce guitar cascades of the choruses to the final redemption in the blistering outro.
This is the sound of longing and regret in the frost-ridden streets of Oslo combined with a burning desire for transformation and catharsis. The release of Insight will be followed by a string of UK/EU dates.
Insight has been mixed and mastered by renowned Italian engineer Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, The Vacant Lots,...) and is promising its best release. If you missed it, the previously released single "Never Sever" can be heard over HERE. Link
