Danish composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Nils Lassen, known for his evocative artistry and work with the dream pop duo BlackieBlueBird, continues his solo journey with the release of his second single, "The Miracle In May", from his upcoming album.
A longtime admirer of cinema, Lassen crafts a hauntingly beautiful love song that blends music and mystery. Drawing inspiration from legendary filmmakers such as fellow countryman Carl Theodor Dreyer, Ingmar Bergman, and Michelangelo Antonioni, he weaves a mesmerizing soundscape steeped in atmospheric tension. The track beckons listeners to surrender to the unknown - trust the winds, open the window, and hold onto the belief in "The Miracle In May" - never lose faith.
Lassen is joined by Tomas Ortved on drums, with Anders Wallin and Marianne van Toornburg providing ethereal backing vocals that deepen the song's cinematic allure.
