Prophecy Fest has announced the return of its popular outdoor celebration on Thursday in 2024. The Prophetic Overture will offer a joyful gathering with mostly acoustic music around barbecue fires and the popular welcome drink.
The musical part of Thursday's festivities presents unique performances. The early highlights assembled for the Prophetic Overture include a dark ambient set of Californian electronic music innovators Thief, German neofolk transforming act Vrîmuot, pagan Anglo-Saxon guests Wolcensmen, Dutch crowd favourite Thurnin, and the dark folk collective Neun Welten.
Prophecy Fest and label founder Martin Koller reflects: "It seems that the Thursday has developed a life of its own. The Prophetic Overture means that the large majority of guests already arrives for the open air celebration; and not only because of the free beer but rather due to the special acoustic performances each year. We always got beautiful surprises from artists presenting their music from a different angle, and I am confident that this will happen in 2024 as well".
These acts have already been confirmed (in alphabetical order): Alcest & Nicolas Horvath, Arthur Brown, Arđ, Austere, Blazing Eternity, Dool, Dymna Lotva, Empyrium, Farsot, Fen, Fortíð, Germ, Hexvessel, In The Woods..., Neun Welten, Paradise Lost, Perchta, Solstice, Thief, Triptykon, Thurnin, Valborg, Vrîmuot, and Wolcensmen.
