Prophecy Fest 2025 has announced the first bands for its 2025 edition.
German horror metal stalwarts The Vision Bleak will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their sophomore full-length Carpathia (A Dramatic Poem). Austrian metal poets Dornenreich have agreed to bring their only metal show in 2025 that will also focus on Flammentriebe to the Cave of Balve. Was there ever a question about beloved rock icon Arthur Brown coming back next year? Well, we are glad that he will. For anyone who loves gothic rock and metal, Soror Dolorosa has delivered the album of the year. The French will add dramatic style to the fest - and maybe a surprise or two. Kall has risen from the ashes of Lifelover. The Swedes will play their first show in Germany following an eight-year hiatus.
"We are thrilled to present these six musical highlights for Prophecy Fest 2025 with the first announcement", the founder of the fest, Martin Koller, writes. "The 2024 edition has set the bar high with many outstanding performances. We have every intention to at least match this year's billing with classics, new discoveries, and of course big surprises in 2025. Please stay tuned for more announcements to come."
Prophecy Fest 2025 will bring dark, forward-thinking music with an attitude to one of the world's most fascinating cultural locations, the legendary, natural Cave of Balve (Balver Höhle). The three-day event will commence on Thursday, 11 September and conclude with a final concert starting before midnight on Saturday, 13 September. The price for a 3-Day-Pass 2025 is 149 € (plus service charge).
These acts have been confirmed, with many more bands to be added in due time (in alphabetical order): Arthur Brown, Dornenreich, Kall, Soror Dolorosa, and The Vision Bleak.
