Los Angeles dream‑pop duo Magic Wands have unveiled their new single “Guardians” together with an accompanying video, released today on Metropolis Records. The track is the second preview from the duo’s forthcoming album Sun Kiss, due in early 2027, following August’s shimmering single “Diamond Rain” (check it out over HERE).
“Guardians” explores the strange unreality of memories — moments that feel distant or dreamlike despite having truly happened. Vocalists/guitarists Dexy and Chris Valentine channel this theme into a glowing, melancholic soundscape that blends their signature mix of dream‑pop, shoegaze, post‑punk and goth elements.
Formed in 2008, Magic Wands have spent more than a decade refining their radiant nocturnal aesthetic across six albums, most recently Cascades (2025). With Sun Kiss, the duo continue to expand their prismatic universe, balancing nostalgia with a modern, cinematic edge.
