Ukrainian romantic metal band Season Of Melancholy has released their new single “Ghost”, a haunting prelude to the group’s forthcoming second full‑length album, In Sleep, arriving on 4 September.

“Ghost” explores the quiet, corrosive state of mind that can follow a person for years — a journey from painful self‑awareness to the realisation that no external change can compensate for the absence of self‑love. The track portrays a protagonist trapped within their own psyche, where loneliness, anger, and despair gradually erode identity until only a psychological “ghost” remains.

The song also intersects with the long‑term impact of childhood trauma, placing “Ghost” within a broader artistic framework that examines how early experiences shape self‑esteem, self‑perception, and the ability to accept oneself later in life.

Musically, “Ghost” blends Season Of Melancholy’s signature melancholic rock and gothic metal with atmospheric guitar textures, restrained dynamics, and emotionally charged vocals.
