Long praised for their modern, sharp‑edged take on classic goth and post‑punk, Swedish trio Then Comes Silence return with a brand new single, “Judgement Day” — the first preview of their upcoming studio album Requiem Ballroom, set for release on 20 November via Metropolis Records.

“Judgement Day” is, as the band put it, “about failure, bad decisions and poor behaviour — those who will be the first in line on doomsday.” Its opening moments immediately break expectation: a catchy Euro‑techno melody cuts through the speakers, creating a deliberate contrast to the group’s established sonic roots. This unexpected intro becomes a metaphor for the song’s theme — the band themselves “fail” by allowing something out of character to take control.

Requiem Ballroom follows Trickery, their seventh full‑length album released in 2024, and marks the next chapter in a catalogue defined by reinvention and precision. Ahead of the album’s arrival, Then Comes Silence will tour mainland Europe throughout August and September, including a date at Improve Club, Castelfranco Veneto (TV), Italy, together with The Foreign Resort, on 19 September.
