US synth-pop duo She 1 • Him 2 return with a striking new single - a cover of Depeche Mode's "Get The Balance Right", available now on all streaming and digital platforms. The track captures the spirit of early '80s new wave while adding the duo's signature modern electronic edge.
"This is by far my favorite Depeche Mode song of all time, and it was so great recreating those fantastic keyboard lines and putting a modern twist on them", says instrumentalist Evan Nave. "We had so much fun filming the video at the Museum of Illusions in Cleveland, and it was very kind and cool of them to let us showcase how unique it is."
Lead vocalist Cassie Bishop adds: "Depeche Mode is one of my favourite bands, so I hope we did the song justice! It was really fun to film at the Museum of Illusions and explore the space, and I'm grateful for the opportunity".
The accompanying music video, directed by Nave and filmed on location at the Museum of Illusions Cleveland, brings the song's title and themes to vivid life with visual trickery, shifting perspectives, and surreal movement. The band extends their thanks to the Museum for their generosity in allowing the shoot and encourages fans to visit and experience the space for themselves.
She 1 • Him 2 are known for their fusion of darkwave, synth-pop, and modern electronic textures. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Yazoo, Pet Shop Boys, and Ladytron, the duo continues to evolve their distinct sound and visual aesthetic with each release. Link
