Sleeping Pulse have offered a beautiful lyric video "The Butterfly Collector", the next advance single taken from their forthcoming album Dreams & Limitations, set for release on 5 June through Prophecy Productions.
Melancholic yet dynamic – and, in its own curious way, quietly uplifting – the track is carried by a fluttering flute motif that shapes its emotional arc.
Mick Moss on "The Butterfly Collector": "The title, 'The Butterfly Collector', is a metaphor for desperately holding onto memories. Our main character sees various moments in his past as being perfect and he works hard to create a place in his mind where they are archived and stored. Yet for all his efforts, the sadness that comes with knowing that he can never truly relive those moments again becomes overwhelming".
Mick Moss has also announced a European tour under the telling banner "An Electric Evening of Antimatter & Sleeping Pulse", on which he will be joined by fellow Antimatter musicians.
The master of musical melancholia will set off on this autumnal electric journey at Metropool in Hengelo on 3 September, before travelling through Germany, Poland, France and Belgium for a total of twelve shows. The tour will then return to the Netherlands for its final curtain call at De Boerderij in Zoetermeer on 20 September.
Although Sleeping Pulse guitarist Luís Fazendeiro will not be part of the tour line‑up, he will appear live on stage for the band's first full concert at Prophecy Fest in the Balve Cave on 5 September.
Mick Moss comments: "For the very first time, I will perform 'An Electric Evening of Antimatter & Sleeping Pulse' with two separate sets. One set will be focusing on Antimatter, the other on Sleeping Pulse. After a decade of demand, I will finally bring Sleeping Pulse to the stage with an electric band of past and present Antimatter live and studio session musicians: Dave Hall, Fab Regmann, and Paul Holligan".
Sleeping Pulse will release their long‑awaited sophomore full‑length, Dreams & Limitations, on 5 June via Prophecy Productions. Further details, alongside the first revealed video single "Rise", can be found HERE. Link
