Italian doomgaze/post-black metal band Still Wave, featuring members of Rome In Monochrome and Aborym, will release tomorrow, 28 June, via These Hands Melt their debut full-length entitled A Broken Heart Makes An Inner Constellation. Still Wave was born from deep outer space, in a future past of void and broken feelings, to play violently post-romantic, epically desperate swansongs for lovers.
A Broken Heart Makes An Inner Constellation combines epic pop melancholia, shoegaze melodies and effects, post (doom) metal deepness and black metal slashes. A unique combination to sing the anatomy of a heartbreak and the rebirth through a new illusion of love.
Still Wave was started in Rome by Luca Fois (guitar) and Eliana Marino (keyboards) to give form to their musical vision, a dark blend of shoegaze, post-rock, doom black metal. The addition of members Daniele Carlo (drums) and Manuel Palombi (bass), completed the instrumental section and when they recruited the vocalist/lyricist Valerio Granieri (also in Rome In Monochrome) they finalized the debut album A Broken Heart Make An Inner Constellation. The album was recorded, mixed and produced in Rome by Fabio Fraschini (Novembre, Arctic Plateau) and Luca Fois at PlayRec Studio and mastered by Øystein G. Brun (Borknagar) at Crosound Studios. After they inked the deal with These Hands Melt, Eliana Marino left the band and was replaced by Tomas Aurizzi (Aborym).
