German gothic rock band Sweet Ermengarde released the first single and video, "Sweet Sacrifice", taken from the long-awaited new album entitled Sacrifice, which will be released on 12 April as a digital edition via Trisol Music Group, and on 18 April as a physical release via Solar Lodge.
The long wait is over. Eight years after their last album, Ex Oblivione, Sweet Ermengarde has made us wait for a successor! And the wait was worth it. With a total of 13 new songs and a runtime of almost 70 minutes, Sacrifice promises to be an intense journey through the world of elegiac goth rock that does not shy away from any comparison with the icons of days gone by.
