German dark folk project Vrîmuot has presented the first video single, the storytelling opening track, "Die Mær vom steinernen Mann" (Eng. The Fable of the Stoneman), from its forthcoming second full-length, Lupus Viridis (Eng. The Green Wolf), due on 5 December via Lupus Lounge.

Vrîmuot's mastermind, Lupus Viridis, on "Die Mær vom steinernen Mann": "This ballad marks the next chapter in an ongoing cycle of songs centred on the motif of a 'femme fatale' that follows in the wake of 'Nymphaea Alba' from the previous album. This song revolves around a female spirit of unknown nature. It tells about a fateful encounter of the eponymous stoneman with a strangely luminous and graceful woman. In the beginning, through the tale of a wanderer, we first experience the revelation of a mythopoetic and mindful worldview. Through a benevolent and synergistic contemplation of nature, his story unveils the deeper mysteries of life. In the second act in this symbolic exchange, a tragic story about beauty, devotion, and the infinite mystery of our existence unfolds".

On Lupus Viridis, Vrîmuot takes its listeners into an Otherworld inhabited by mythical creatures of folktales, lore, and legends and is again testing the imaginary boundaries of its genre. Magic has also been wielded by Markus Stock, who has beautifully mastered the album for a clear and crisp yet also organic and warm sound, which perfectly complements Vrîmuot's mood and tales on Lupus Viridis.

Vrîmuot is taking wide strides with Lupus Viridis both lyrically and musically. Lean back, relax, and listen to masterful storytelling! Link
