Austrian post‑punk/gothic rock veterans Whispers In The Shadow have released their new single "Dead Of Winter" — a darkwave Christmas ballad steeped in haunting synths, spectral guitars, icy ambience and intimate vocals.
Recorded during the sessions for their critically acclaimed album Rapture (out via Icy Cold Records in June 2025), the track captures the paradox of the season: gothic melancholy entwined with festive stillness. Written for those quiet hours when the world feels frozen, motionless and strangely beautiful, "Dead Of Winter" offers a contemplative soundtrack to the darker side of December.
The band has also confirmed a string of live shows for 2026, with further dates to be announced. Link
